Let your photographic skills take flight with Adobe Photoshop and aerial photography.
In this sky high pre-conference event participants will enter a basic flight training course with a DJI Phantom quad-copter. Once each student has graduated from this basic course they will learn to fly a DJI Phantom 2 Vision copter with its own build-in camera. This second part of the course will focus on tips and techniques for aerial photography. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to fly a remote quad-copter and take aerial photography as a hobbyist, this is the class for you. With advances in helicopter technology combined with small lightweight cameras, aerial photography is easy to learn, and at reasonable prices. With the help of some expert flight instructors you will learn the basics of flight and some of the techniques for capturing images from the sky. We will also have a variety of quad-copters on display and you can get expert answers to all your aerial photography questions.
After landing the copters safely back on the ground, Russell Brown and his team of digital experts will discuss some of the best ways to work with your still, and video images from the GoPro and DJI cameras. This will be the ultimate Top Gun experience that you will not forget. For students who are interested in purchasing a copter, you’ll be able to talk with the representatives from Dronefly.com who will be on site. DroneFly will be offering special show pricing, just for the students in this class. Remember, there are currently several FAA restrictions on the professional use of unmanned aerial vehicles for professional photography. At this time however, it is totally legal to fly and take photographs as a hobbyist. The full set of regulations for professionals is expected to be published in 2015.
