But here we are now. Four hours after getting on the train in Avignon, we are standing here, looking at the Eiffel Tower from the air. It feels overwhelming in a way.
Funny story. The moment we started to set-up, several police vans pulled up unloading one officer after another. We were a little unsure what to do now - should we or shouldn't we fly? We were even considering finding a different location, maybe a little more hidden and out of the way. But then we realized that the police force is also on bicycles. So we might as well just do it in the open and say "We are so sorry!" if approached.
But to our surprise, we were not interesting enough for them. Mark and I both did a couple of flights, each time getting a little closer to the tower.
Don't worry, we did not do anything crazy and kept our distance. In fact, there is so much radio interference coming from the tower, that both our Phantoms lost connection to our radio and started the "Return to Home" procedure.
