I have only had the DJI Phantom for a couple of weeks and we decided to take a trip to Southern California and see an Atlas V rocket launch; from the air. We also took the S800 with us. We drove via Highway 5 on the way down and then took Highway 1, along the beautiful California coast, back up. When we saw a nice spot, we stopped and flew our machines. It was so much fun. And even though my Phantom does not have a stabilization gimbal just yet, the footage looks beautiful.
Mark even made a trailer about our 1,000 mile journey together. It sure was fun just driving, stopping, flying, driving, stopping, finding slim jims, driving and flying again. Check out the trailer below (opens a new window):

Wow! Nice adventure. Thanks for sharing.

If you were planning a trip to California that could possibly be the only trip you ever take to California, we'd recommend going to San Francisco. Not only does San Francisco have a multitude of tourist draws such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, theme parks and world-class museums, but many of California's most interesting and beautiful places are only a short distance away. For traveling information can also be found in mooringsoncavill.com.au.
